Employees gathered on July 11 over lunch from Jimmy John’s to learn more about the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and the Light the Night Walk. LLS Campaign Manager Jessie Rainey spoke on the facts and efforts needed, and we were also fortunate to hear from Katy Lee who is now in remission from Large B-Cell Lymphoma. Katy shared her very touching story with us, as her cancer relapsed and she was nearly paralyzed due to a tumor in her spine. She has come such a long way in her fight and hopes to inspire and encourage involvement with LLS. This coming together was a great kick start for employees joining the KeyCentrix For a Cure team fundraising efforts. We have set an ambitious goal of $100,000 and look forward to making it happen together. The KeyCentrix team will be participating in events monthly to help raise awareness and continue driving towards the goal. Watch our team page for updates or to join us on our journey to help end blood cancer. Congratulations to the KeyCentrix Team members Julie, Drake and Geri. They won our LLS Facts contest!! Much more to come… including the Team Challenge.
